Welcome to the Ministerial Department of the Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.  The purpose of the Ministerial Department is to provide nurture and support for pastors with the assistance of Ministerial Secretaries in the eight Conferences of the Southern Union territory.  These Conferences are as follows: Carolina, Florida, Georgia-Cumberland, Gulf States, Kentucky-Tennessee, South Atlantic, South Central, and Southeastern.

The Ministerial Department of the Southern Union also helps to provide continuing education and graduate studies training in cooperation with Conference leadership and Andrews University Seminary.

About Dennis Ross, Jr.

Dennis served as Evangelism Coordinator at the Southern Union Conference for more than 20 years.  In addition, Ministerial Secretary was recently added to his duties.  He completed his undergraduate studies at Oakwood College, his graduate studies at Andrews University, and his postgraduate studies at Gulf Coast Seminary in Panama City, Florida.  Elder Ross holds both a Master’s of Theology and Doctor of Theology degrees.

For 20 years, he pastored in various conferences including churches in the north and southeast.  During the 20 years serving as pastor and 20 plus years as a church administrator, Elder Ross has baptized more than 6,000 souls into the body of Christ. Elder Ross has been in the Southern Union Office in Evangelism and now Ministerial Director/Evangelism Coordinator.

Dennis is married to the former Jacquelyn Croumel of Miami, Florida, his partner in carrying on God’s business.  They have four adult children: Jeffery Leon, owner of K.E.G. Systems; Dennis Ross, III, married to Adrianne Johnson owners of Sugarloaf Capital; Valerie Anne, an attorney in Atlanta, GA; and Karen Ross Mugalu, a medical billing specialist.  They also have seven adorable grandchildren: Lawrence, Dennis IV, Karsen, Emerson, Gracyn, Rachael, and Jacquelyn.

Elder Ross’ main goal in life is to be found a faithful servant when Jesus returns.
